Iftikhar Khan is General Counsel & Board Secretary at Abu Dhabi Airports having joined the organisation in January 2010. In his current capacity, Iftikhar is responsible for providing commercially focused legal advice and assistance on various matters, including awarding contracts, policies, procedures, HR matters, intellectual property, dispute resolution, compliance, corporate governance and risk matters.
With almost two decades of legal experience, he is also responsible for advising on all legal issues arising out of the substantial redevelopment of all five airports of Abu Dhabi Airports, including acting as Project Counsel for the new Terminal A.
Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Airports, Iftikhar worked for a number of international law firms, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Simmons & Simmons. He holds an LLB (Hons), a Post Graduate Diploma and an MSc from Kings College, London, UK.
Iftikhar is also a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and is an International Airport Professional (IAP), having successfully completed the ACI-ICAO Airport Management Accreditation Programme.
