Operating since 2008, Sir Bani Yas Airport caters mainly to tourists visiting the Natural Island. It is located 250km southwest of Abu Dhabi’s coast in the Western Region.

Airport advancement

Under a partnership agreement between the Department of Tourism (DTC) and Abu Dhabi Airports, the island's airport has been upgraded to fully certified airport, equipped to receive domestic and short-haul international commercial flights.

At Abu Dhabi Airports, we have invested in an ambitious expansion project to redevelop the airport’s terminal, seaplane and boat terminals, converting them into state-of-the-art facilities.
