Abu Dhabi’s DNA showcased at Abu Dhabi International Airport

16 Mar 2017 , Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
In its drive to attract more visitors into the capital city and to enrich passenger experience at the airport’s capital, Abu Dhabi Airports is offering passengers a taste of Abu Dhabi’s DNA when traveling through Abu Dhabi International Airport.

In the first of a series of initiatives, a henna tent has been installed in the departures area of Terminal 3. Passengers can have a design of their choice drawn on their hands with temporary henna, as a souvenir of the UAE’s heritage, for a small charitable donation, which will be given to Abu Dhabi Airports’ Year of Giving campaign.

The idea is part of a drive to showcase Abu Dhabi’s DNA to passengers, giving them examples of the nation’s traditions and culture as soon as they set foot in the capital’s international airport.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori said, “The henna tent is just one of a number of creative initiatives that our passengers will see at Abu Dhabi International Airport over the coming months. We would like to showcase Abu Dhabi’s DNA, and the UAE’s core culture and heritage, to all travelers, so that they can experience our rich history as soon as they step off their plane. We have so many wonderful traditions in our country that we can share with our guests, and we look forward to them enjoying our fantastic passenger experience, giving them a unique sense of place.”
