Abu Dhabi Airports is inviting more young UAE nationals to join its National Development Program, as the company presents itself as an employer of choice at Tawdheef, held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.

The company’s National Development Program (NDP) for employing and training UAE graduates is delivered over an 18 – 24 month period and focuses on enabling candidates to obtain practical experience and occupational skills. This is done by placing them in various departments and monitoring their progress through a structured assessment system.

“The aviation sector is playing a significant role in the diversification of the UAE’s economy in line with the 2030 Vision,” said Abu Dhabi Airports’ Acting CEO, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori. “Abu Dhabi Airports is committed to developing the professional skills of the talented young Emiratis who will lead our company and this industry in the years to come, through our excellent National Development Program.”

At a recent Abu Dhabi Airports’ board and executive management retreat, current NDP trainees were invited to give their views on the key initiatives on which the company should focus and to make any suggestions they had on how the company is run.

“By inviting trainees to take part in the strategic decision making process right from the beginning of their careers, we hope to inspire them to continue to want to make a difference as they work towards becoming the airport professionals of tomorrow,” commented Al Khoori.

A total of 88 UAE nationals are currently enrolled in the NDP.
