Zayed International Airport announced the arrival of Akasa Air’s inaugural flight from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi. The flight, which touched down at 18:50 yesterday, strengthens the longstanding links between the two countries, boosting tourism and trade links.

The addition of Akasa Air to the growing network of international carriers at Zayed International Airport (AUH) signifies a key step in bolstering connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai, representing the fourth Indian airline operating flights to and from Abu Dhabi. This new daily service caters to the increasing demand for air travel between the two thriving cities, reinforcing trade and tourism connections. Mumbai, as India's financial and commercial hub, is vital for business travellers and is also popular for its cultural attractions and vibrant lifestyle. Similarly, Abu Dhabi offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity with its world-class infrastructure, dynamic business environment, and rich cultural heritage, making this new route a boost for both business and tourism. Zayed International Airport’s expanding network currently encompasses 126 passenger destinations in 64 countries with 29 operating airlines.
