By leveraging Abu Dhabi's strategic location, Abu Dhabi Airports' cargo facilities are enabling the accelerated growth of the logistics and trade across the UAE and beyond

Positioned at the crossroads of East and West, Abu Dhabi Airports' rapidly growing hubs connect key markets across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Our air cargo network connects more than 200 international destinations, offering unmatched geographic reach, rapid transit times, and seamless air-to-sea and air-to-land trade integration across the Arabian Gulf.
In 2025, cargo at Zayed International Airport (AUH) grew 12% over the preceding year, while volumes at Al Ain International Airport (AAN) surged more than 60%. Both airports being located within an eight-hour flight radius of two-thirds of the world's population makes Abu Dhabi a strategically located logistics hub, best-suited for distributing goods across the Middle East and the wider region.
Designed to meet the demands of modern global supply chains, our cargo facilities deliver high-efficiency handling for general freight, live animals, oversized cargo, and high-value shipments. Through dedicated temperature-controlled pharmaceutical zones and specialized perishable handling centers, Abu Dhabi Airports guarantees rigorous end-to-end cold chain integrity, ensuring delicate goods move swiftly and securely through the capital.
Air cargo operations at Abu Dhabi Airports are directly integrated with ADAFZ, providing businesses with a dynamic, one-stop logistics ecosystem. Freight forwarders, e-commerce giants, and multinational manufacturers benefit from streamlined customs processing, duty exemptions, state-of-the-art bonded warehousing, and direct apron access that significantly accelerates turnarounds and reduces operating costs.
In line with Abu Dhabi's growth ambitions, Abu Dhabi Airports continues to invest heavily in smart logistics technology, automated handling systems, and digital air cargo platforms to optimise end-to-end trace-and-track capabilities. Combined with sustainable facility design and expanded freighter capacity alongside key airline partners, our air cargo division provides a resilient, future-ready foundation for global commerce.
