Whilst the Midfield Terminal Complex is under construction, there are several initiatives underway at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s existing terminals to create capacity for traffic growth and improve the customer experience.

All of these are geared towards delivering additional capacity and services to continue to be an innovative, dynamic and world class airport. These include:

• New gate dedicated to the Airbus A380, catering for more than 500 passengers

• Airfield lighting system upgrades

• New apron, with 9 additional long layover parking stands (2 Code F and 7 Code E+)

• Expansion of the check-in facilities at Terminals 1, 2 & 3
